In 2019, Wellspect launched a new urinary catheter for women; LoFric Elle. What is so unique about LoFric Elle and why does she make real difference? Well for starters, it has been developed by women, for women and with sustainability in mind throughout every step of the process. Sara Tronarp, Project Manager and Susanne Lindholm, Global Product Manager explains in further detail.

Today marks an important company milestone with the launch of the 2021 sustainability report. We met up with our Group Vice President, Svenn Poulsen, to hear his thoughts on our progress towards becoming climate neutral by 2045 and the recognized sustainability leader in our industry. 

We know that the production, transportation, and disposal of our products has an environmental impact and generates a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to climate change. By working actively to reduce our climate impact, while also making sure we adapt to the existing medical guidelines, we are prepared to take on the challenge of developing a future climate-neutral product.

For most of us, 2020 was a truly challenging year, for some of us more than others. We support people suffering from continence issues - our users are dependent upon our essential products, everyday. As well as dealing with the pandemic, they also have obstacles to navigate every day, year in, year out. For them, our products are vital for quality of life. Our goal is to make a real difference, every single day. With the help of our products, our users enjoy a more free, more independent life.
